Digitisation of medieval manuscripts from the Diocese Archives St. PöltenCategory: International In the frame of „ENRICH” – a targeted project funded under the eContentPlus programme – the archives is digitising its holdings of medieval manuscripts. New descriptions are collected via an online tool (M-Tool) and together with the digital images imported in the European digital library of manuscripts “Manuscriptorium”, where the bibliographical information and the images are available online and free of charge. Image resolution: minimum 300 dpI.
File format of images: colour 24 BIT jpg, 100 % uncompressed.
Tools for image editing are only used to maintain a maximum of focus and contrast.
The objects to be digitised should be scanned in horizontal position (tolerance 2 - 3°).
The use of glass plates is optional but should consider the state of preservation of the objects.
